After reading multiple reviews about this restaurant, we were excited to try out what we thought would be a fantastic Mexican food spot. Ordered with SkipTheDishes during Covid19 isolation. Hubby had Da Chosen 1 Platter. It looked great and he liked it. It's a nice variety dish. I enjoyed a wet burrito with carnitas (pulled pork). It was really good. The flavours are wonderful. I paid an extra $2 for guac. It was just a spoonful; I don't think that extra was worth it.

A friend introduced me to this great eatery. It’s his favourite Mexican restaurant and is mine now. The ordering is simple as ‘1,2,3!’ First step is to choose either taco, burrito, enchilada, etc. 2) choice of chicken, beef, lamb, vegetarian or vegan. 3) choose one of three sizes and add on any extras. I had the vegetarian burrito and tasted fresh and flavourful. My friend had the vegan burrito. The small size was even a bit big for me. Prices are reasonable. There’s tables both inside and outside to sit at. Service was friendly and quick. I can’t wait to try their other dishes. They’re located under the old movie theatre on Esplanade.
Authentic Mexican products, drinks, and food, owned by Mexican lady. New decor, same great food, and salsa nights! Open long hours, quick walk from Quay.
We have eaten here many times before or after going to a movie. The food has always been pretty tasty. Tonight, my husband enjoyed his wet burrito but my nachos were just OK, as the chips were a little stale. There is no table service here, so you order at the counter. Sadly, it was ridiculously slow tonight with one lady appearing to be training another but basically doing everything herself. Perhaps if she’d let the new person do something, like cut a burrito or take an order, things might speed up. The third worker appeared sporadically to make a marguerita or ring up an order, but only after getting directions from Lady in Charge. Very poor organizing and odd to watch this one person running around doing everything while the other two staff remained under utilized while the line up grew longer and longer. There’s hope here, but only if Lady in Charge let’s her staff just do their jobs!
