3 of us often meet here. the reason why we do is that eating is a cut above normal pub chain food. I was recently at the prince of wales jarrow and there is no comparison. I had makkaroni cheese with a beautiful dressed salate. the salat in the prince of wales was plain salat. great service and welcome from the staff espe ially the lady I also spoke. I'm the old guy with white hair.

The Sunday lunch in here was lovely and the meat just melt in the mouth. I was in here today with my son for belated Mother's Day treat. I gave the chef compliments for cooking the amazing dinner and all other foods too. Your member of staff called Wendy was so cheerful with a big smile on her face and she even went out of her way to get me a steak knife when my son asked her. View all feedback.
In the dog-friendly opposite to have a meal with my partner and daughter and poocha. we had a barman called cory who brought our food and came back to ask if everything was in order with our food. he is a very polite young and very friendly to our poocha who loved the attention of him. we will be definately again the service was excellent and the food was nice and his dog friendly . could ask more

Lovely tea, reasonable prices and top staff. Had steaks, mixed grills, loads of drinks including shots, pints and cocktails
Veey well taken care of by attentive hostess (Abbey) who was very good while at the same time not being over bearing as some places i have been lately. Will definetly come again.
Came for dinner then quiz. Wendy was very very helpful with organising a table To accommodate our party of 7. We know to book next time
