With a commendable selection of local and international beers, along with freshly prepared food, this hidden gem thrives as a lively cultural hub. The venue features an enclosed courtyard, a spacious auditorium for live performances, and regular events, fostering a warm and friendly atmosphere. Appreciated for its cleanliness and attentive staff, The Exchange promises a delightful experience, whether for a casual drink, a concert, or a cozy gathering with friends. Don't miss this extraordinary community space!.
I performed at this restaurant on Thursday evening as part of the North Tyneside Saturday Music Center Easter concert series. It was a great place to perform in! The staff did a fantastic job of attracting a large audience, including many young people. While I don't think it's the most convenient location to rent out, places like this often struggle financially without enough support. I recommend stopping by for a drink and a bite to eat. The parking lot was a bit difficult to navigate due to maintenance work, so consider using public transportation or walking if possible.
What a fantastic venue! I came here to see a Lindisfarne gig and sat in the balcony. The seating was comfortable and had plenty of legroom so we didn't have to keep standing up to let others pass. The stage was great and there was a nice bar for drinks during the intermission. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back.
Packed tonight with @lindisfarne, this restaurant is a stunning venue with great sound equipment and close seating, including balcony seating. The bar offers a limited selection of alcohol (which may not suit everyone's taste), but overall it's a large local venue that deserves support as a cornerstone in North Shields.
Pete’s pub quiz at 20 o’clock on Monday evening are now a firm favorite with me and a group of friends. the atmosphere is great, with fabulous and laughing, and there is a good choice of drinks in the bar. It is just outside the howard street in what feels like a small world of her own. I look forward to the summer when the doors can be opened on the pleasant courtyard. do not let them stand around the saville centre (spring 2022) because the exchange is opened so normal. and when the work is done, the building will be in a better condition to withstand the next decades and at the same time the howard street will be paved and redesigned with the renovation of the northumberland square.
I love coming here. Been to many events such as mothers day afternoon teas, performances and pantomimes. Would definitely recommend. I like the café /bar vibe and atmosphere.
