Had the most amazing meal, our disappointment was with the service charge, £1 for their charity that the member of staff had to check on. We were not happy with their choice and the staff missed out on a tip

We went here on a Monday evening. It was quiet when we got inside. The waiting staff were very attentive, and quick to take the orders for drinks before our meals. Starters came out quickly, and were delicious! Mains followed after enough time to let the starter go down a bit, but not too long that we were left wondering how long it was going to take! The food was hot, crispy (when it should be crispy), and the naan were some of the best I’ve had! Fluffy, crispy and not at all soggy, doughy, or greasy! Portion sizes were good. Big enough to fill the belly for those who could fit it all in, and staff were happy to provide take away containers for the left overs from those who couldn’t quite manage it all on the night! The restaurant filled up somewhat by the time we had coffee and mint chocolates, but it was never too loud that we couldn’t hear our conversation. The only negative I would have is that the lighting level was quite low in the restaurant. We were lucky to be sitting by a window, and had light from the lamppost outside helping to illuminate our table otherwise I think it would have been tricky to see what we were eating! That would be a problem for someone with eyesight difficulties! We had 2 cocktails, 2 pints, and small bottle of Prosecco, 4 starters, 4 curry, 4 rice (not included with the main), 2 naan and a roti, 2 coffees and 1 Irish coffee. £183.00. Would I go back? Yes, Would I recommend? Yes! Delicious.

Devastating We visited recently as a group of six and unfortunately the experience was ruined by the behaviour of some of the staff. To start with the positives: most of the food was good overall, although the chicken dishes were quite dry. Aside from that the meals were enjoyable, and the male waiting staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. However, the service from the female waiting staff was shockingly poor. They were rude, pushy and dismissive throughout the evening. At one point, a brunette member of staff wiped a plate across my shoulder while clearing the table, leaving curry stains all over my shirt. When I raised it with her she simply walked away without apologising or even acknowledging what had happened. At the end of the meal I intended to leave a £10 tip. Instead, the same member of staff entered £20 on the card machine and did not provide a receipt. We only discovered this the next morning when checking our bank account and seeing our £208 bill had become £228. When we contacted the restaurant manager to explain the situation, his response was even worse than the service. Regarding my stained shirt he told me to “wash it” but used profanity when saying it. When we tried to raise the tipping issue he immediately became defensive and began shouting down the phone, swearing repeatedly and insisting nobody was stealing, even telling us to call the police if we thought otherwise. What could easily have been resolved as a misunderstanding turned into a completely unnecessary confrontation because of the manager’s attitude. In the end we did receive the £20 back, but the damage was done. The restaurant has now lost the custom of six adults who will never return. The food may be decent overall, but the service and management attitude were appalling. If you do visit, double check the amount entered on the card machine and always ask for a receipt.
