My husband and I had breakfast here and it was fabulous and plentiful the artisan toast was extremely tasty I ate far too much but I couldn’t leave it !! Full breakfast had everything doubled I could really have done without the hash brown which was an extra at 70p which seemed a bit steep for a frozen hash brown. The place was tastefully decorated and comfortable wouldn’t hesitate to eat here again. View all feedback.
What DurhamInspector6 doesn't like about Cup Of Joy:
I went to this restaurant for coffee and lunch. It was a terrible experience. The weak coffee was awful, and even adding an extra shot for £4.40 wouldn't improve the taste much. There are plenty of other great places to eat in Whitley Bay, so I would recommend avoiding this one. View all feedback.

Reggie's, formerly known as this coffee shop, offers an excellent afternoon tea with a variety of sandwiches, cakes, fruit and cheese scones, pie, and quiche. Customers can also take home any leftovers in doggy bags. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed.
They have changed the name of this cafe and it the decor renewed. I went with a friend for coffee and scone my friend had poached egg.The place is lovely, the girl who took our order polite, friendly and chatty. Nice atmosphere and the scone was gorgeous with jam and cream. I would definately recommend. Love it! Thank you
Food here is absolutely amazing will definitely be a new regular here. Will try some of the cakes next time
I unfortunately chose this cafe in Whitley Bay one cold morning. My wife and I stopped in for a coffee, only to find it weak and watery. The cheese scone I ordered was heavy and I could only manage to eat half of it. My wife had a similar experience with her fruit scone, as the outer layer was over baked and difficult to cut. When I went to pay, I mentioned my dissatisfaction with the scones to the waitress, but received no apology or concern. We paid our bill of £8.70 and left, with no plans to return in the future.
