My dad ordered the Pensioner fish and chips, while I ordered just the fish and a regular jumbo chips. This wasn't the first time we had been overcharged at this restaurant. The price was the same as last week on Friday, but a man claiming to be the manager tried to charge us more. It's not about the money, it's about the principle. To make matters worse, we were double-charged the last time we visited. View all feedback.
What Bibcay doesn't like about Bill's Fish:
If you saw my picture of the chips they looked and were over cooked. It used to be good but it has gone downhill. Fish was alright. Bit dirty too. Nice staff though. View all feedback.
Visited this (Once great seaside chippy) this evening on my way home from work. Just fancied good old cod and chips. And that's exactly what I got, well as far as the chips....soft, hard, crispy, long, short some bad some green. As for the fish, well apart from being in my opinion (small) it was greasy and soggy batter all for £11.30 freshly cooked though. Much better local chippy's without a doubt. Defiantly will never return. Shameful
Possibly the worst chips I’ve had in my life and I’ve had some truly awful experiences. What makes it worse and there are some fantastic chippys along the road in Tynemouth. Next time I’ll check reviews on TripAdvisor
Waited ages in queue for old disgusting chips! Threw them on the lawn when we got home and even the seagulls wouldn't eat them! Will never return and do not recommend.
I wish we had read the reviews before going here. The chips were burnt, old and terrible tasting. Very very disappointing. I would recommend going anywhere else!
Had a tray of chips for £3 served by a miserable assistant who just grunted. Worst chips I've ever seen, lukewarm, scraps with black spots on potatoes and only fit for the flock of starlings hanging around outside.
