This is a lovely fish and chip shop and I have attended it for year. it is really clean and the staff are friendly. I think the food here is nicer than from the nearby fish quay. my one and only tiny gripe which could also be a bonus is that quite often you need to wait for fresh fish to be cooked (about five min) but it is worth it. It is not greasy at all contrary to another review. View all feedback.

Worst fish shop I've ever been to. person serving, person frying in busy peak times and had to wait minutes for a greasy set of fish and chips, food was absolutely terrible as my stomach got upset twice View all feedback.
The food was excellent, especially the fish. Service was quick and the atmosphere was pleasant.
The fish was improperly cooked twice and the chips were very hard and not fresh at all. This is the worst fish and chips in North Shields.
