Description

Nestled in North Reading, this charming country store doubles as a nostalgic deli and market, serving standout breakfast sandwiches, Italian subs, wraps, and a hot bar with salad bar, coffee and Richardson's ice cream. Reasonably priced and staffed by warm, attentive employees, it’s a go‑to for quick lunches, takeout staples and local groceries, plus beer and wine. The old‑school decor and homey atmosphere feel welcoming, though the layout can be confusing and some customers note a hands‑on sandwich prep style that may raise hygiene concerns.

The young man Erik behind behind the deli counter pours his heart and soul into every hand crafted composition of bread, meat and cheese. Through years of heard work and determination he?s developed the cutting edge sandwich techniques that truly makehis sandwiches unique. His decision not to wear gloves makes it so you can savor the sweat that emits from his pores and whichleaves the sandwich moist with a salty finish. You can truly sense his hatred for women that drives him to be the best sandwichmaker in greater Boston area. Erik has a good heart but is not afraid to put you in your place if you ask a stupid request orchallenge his genius. Gandhi once said ?strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.? Thisquote undeniably describes Erik?s compassion and attitude towards his craft. Erik challenges the societal norms that try andchain him to doing jobs such as being as a president or engineer and shows that men too can cook. He is a strapping young manwith the heart of gold and his sandwiches will make your taste buds orgasm.

Had a grilled chicken wrap (lettuce, BBQ sauce, bacon and american cheese). I've tried wraps from sub shops all over the area, and this one takes the cake. Everything was fresh and just perfect. Highly recommend!!

Worked in N. Reading for a day and stopped here for lunch. Wasn't expecting the best Italian sub I've ever had in my lifetime! The sandwich was absolutely perfect, fresh ingredients, and whatever else they put on it was absolutely delicious. The store hasa warm nostalgia about it, really old school decor which I thought was awesome. Customer service was phenomenal as well. Greatselection of food, drinks, beer, wine, etc. Highly recommend the deli for lunchtime!!

What a neat little store! Reminds me of a forgone different era, back when everyone visited their local general store for fresh food and news on the community! When you walk inside of Ryers, you feel like you're taken back in time! Most importantly, thefood is delicious! I was very pleased with my Reuben sandwich, and I'm a tough critic when it comes to Reubens. I wouldabsolutely recommend this place, and if I lived nearby, I would certainly be a loyal regular.

Stopped when trying to find the post office, the building is just so cute! Got the breakfast club this morning on a sub roll. It was huge and only $7.75. Two meals here! Seriously one of the best things I've eaten in MA since moving here a month ago. Thiswill be a staple for my family for sure and I love that I can grab some staples like bread, wine or fresh prepared sides too!Havent done this ice cream thing yet, but I'm sure we will.
