Contribute FeedbackHolt Café, a beloved local spot, has drawn mixed reviews from patrons recently. While many rave about the friendly service, delicious coffee, and standout dishes like the pancake stack and cheese scone, others have expressed disappointment in the quality of certain menu items during their latest visits. Overcooked breakfast options and a lack of attentive service have tainted experiences for some. However, loyal customers remain hopeful, planning to return for another chance at enjoying the café’s renowned atmosphere and culinary offerings. Overall, it remains a cozy destination, with potential for great moments amid inconsistent feedback.
This is a nice spot to have a cup of tea. The non-dairy hot chocolate was delicious. The cheese scone was tasty, although it was unusual that it was toasted. It tasted good, though. It was served with a tasty chutney. The cafe had a cozy temperature. There were plenty of cake options, including gluten-free choices.
I had an amazing brunch at this restaurant on Saturday. I ordered the pancake stack with bacon and maple syrup, which was delicious and served hot. The staff were all friendly and attentive.
I had been to this restaurant before and had a great experience, but this time was not as good. There were noticeable changes, with the coffee not being as good as it was a year ago. The sausage roll, which was amazing during our last visit, was poor this time. It was overcooked with tough pastry and a completely different filling. It's a shame, but we will give it another try on our next visit in November and hope that it was just an off day.
We only visited Holt for a few hours and grabbed a coffee and cake here, but it was a belting bit of cake and a proper decent coffee. The cake was a peanut butter stack which was a decent size and super sweet, absolutely gorgeous. The coffee was also a well made coffee and not some bog standard rubbish you get at a multi-location chain type coffee shop. The other food drinks that I saw coming out of the kitchen all looked really lovely, albeit we did have chance to sample it, but on the face of it this place looks like it's doing a great job.
3 days escaping the city with old friends. Norfolk nurtured us well, and we were so fortunate that our holiday cottage came with free use of a gorgeous beach hut at wells on sea. The Wells Deli kept us well supplied with delicious sandwiches, amazing cakes and the best lattes. Covid measures were quite stringent in one door and out another, staff wearing masks. super friendly service loved it
