Great family evening meal, staff very friendly and welcoming. The fish and chips is definitely one to have, freshly battered fish you will go a long way to beat. Lovely atmosphere, we will definitely return! View all feedback.

Excellent lunch We both had the crab sandwich Magnificent so tasty Rest of menu looked good Great selection of drinks
Being grumpy myself I felt a certain sympathy with the landlord. We hadn't studied the reviews before we booked; my choice was made simply because the house over the green had been the home of one of my bridesmaids and I like the atmosphere on...the green next to Cley Church. Eyebrows were raised when I told another Cley resident where we were going to stay her comment was its an un-reconstructed pub Which kind of appealed. But yes the landlord is very short on chat and patience I did raise a smile when we both tried to hurry up my wife's choice of cereal. I had a good helping of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. However the accommodation was pretty low. We moved to a larger room where the landlady had to make up the bed. But after my afternoon nap I woke up feeling sick the smell was unbearable. I thought it was cigarette smoke, my wife thought it was damp. We left the windows wide open, went to Blakeney to find some air freshener but the shops were closed. Actually when we returned it was much better and was probably a result of the room not having been used and needing a blast of fresh air. Alas the bathroom walls were dripping, slight mould at the top. So we decided to move on. I told the landlord about the bathroom his reply was classic : condensation and the brewery's man had fitted the extractor the wrong way round. A situation which would make any happy man a grump.

Enjoyed a really nice course Meal.. the lovely waitress (name I think she said was Kirsty moved us to a larger table which was a kind gesture as was visiting with my elderly father. The halloumi fries were possibly the best I’ve tasted..., pate was also of a very high standard, the service was fast, polite, courteous. The lovely waitress also gave our puppy a little treat as we ate. Venison Pie … delicious Cosy, welcoming, friendly Happy to recommend this place
