A good cafe near the bridge and boat yard. £8.80 for a pot of tea for two with cakes seemed a bit expensive although nice and the other cakes looked delicious also. View all feedback.
What machinmad doesn't like about Flour And Bean:
Typical store café selling the usual array of hot n cold snacks. Service was friendly with lots of seats to choose from both inside and out. Drinks prices okay but food is expensive (eg, £3.20 for a small cheese scone). View all feedback.
Absolutely delicious breakfast: quality ingredients and always fresh and well presented. They also run 2 for 1 deals which in this day and age is priceless. Would highly recommend. Never had a bad meal there.
A nice family friendly interior, nice colours with a marble style clock. Toasted tea cake was very nice. Ladies toilet nice and clean as was the mens. The presentation of sweet and savoury baked goods looked very inviting
Went here for breakfast on Saturday and all 4 of us had large breakfasts. Unfortunately the quality of the food did not justify the £11 price tag. The food came out luke warm at best except for the hashbrown and sausages which were piping hot. The toast was not fresh and was incredibly dried out like it had been sat under a hot lamp for a while. Expected better when there is a popular burger van which does good breakfast competing just opposite.
8/10 nice atmosphere and food. Bacon cooked be cooked bit more but really value for money. Staff very friendly.downside had to wait 15mins but it was busy.
Nice food, preposterous prices! I was put off by the price of a simple, average sized roll with a sliver of cheese and ham or tuna, being between £4.50 £5
