You can enjoy your meal in the nearby park if you opt for takeaway. The sausage rolls are delicious and only cost one pound. What lowryepp doesn't like about Country Treats:
Advertised Open for Breakfast but no times quoted. Went back later and got takeaway 2 coffees and breakfast bap. We may have been unlucky, but the guy serving was immune to all pleasantries. I did my best the weather, the music being played; nothing. Sadly I feel he just does not like to be there doing that. View all feedback.
We went to get ice cream after a day on the river. The owner was rude and seemed annoyed to serve us. He swore as he had to refill the ice cream machine. The owner had no manners. We won't be returning.
Myself my wife visited this afternoon. The cleanliness level in the shop was absolutely disgusting, the place desperately needs a deep clean. However the main cause of my frustration today was the fact that we were caught in a torrential downpour today whilst leaving the shop across the road, we were cowering under the canopy of the shop when I looked across the road, seen the small cafe thought why don’t we go get a hot drink something to eat to get out of the rain. So I ran across the road to the cafe absolutely drenched, the proprietor was sitting reading a newspaper, I walked in and asked if they were dog friendly, he replied “we’re closed” and got up to come over close the door. The door was wide open when I walked in and all the lights were on. When we passed around 20-30 mins later, the door was still wide open and the lights were still on. He could have just said, sorry mate we don’t allow dogs in the cafe, I was desperately trying to get my drenched family out of the rain, we were all dressed in t shirt shorts as we didn’t foresee the absolute monsoon that happened. Thank you for your human kindness hospitality sir.
Delicious breakfast and at a very very sensible price. Have been twice whilst away for a few days and even went out of our way the 2nd time. We also ordered sandwiches to go for our journey home which was on a paper plate which helped. Thank you both
