Castano's Italian Steakhouse

For many years, this was our favorite restaurant to go to! We used to visit often as loyal customers. However, after two recent meals with very poor service and terrible food, we have decided to remove it from our list. It's really disappointing! We hope that they can make some improvements so that we can possibly return in the future.

The restaurant was very pleasant, the food was delicious, but there was a problem with the air conditioning. The steak was excellent, cooked just right, and the server was fantastic.

Our initial experience at the restaurant was excellent and I gave it a positive review. However, on our next visit in February, the food was good but the service was extremely slow, resulting in a two-hour wait. This past Saturday, May 7th, the service was even slower than before and my 12 oz Filet Mignon, ordered medium rare, was cooked medium at best. If it had been any other steak, it would have been inedible. We had to wait a long time for our drinks and salad, while other tables who arrived after us were served promptly. When we inquired about our food after waiting for two hours, we were informed that because we ordered a salad, our order was placed at the bottom of the list behind those who ordered only entrees. Although our server did offer us a complimentary cocktail as a gesture of apology, we were more interested in eating our meal rather than drinking. We plan to give the restaurant one more chance, but will avoid dining there on weekends. If the service and food do not meet our expectations on our next visit, we will take our business elsewhere.

Katerina, our waitress was very attentive, eager to please and just an outstanding and outgoing individual. The mealo was terrific! My wife had the stuffed flounder and I had the bone in ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection and was very plentiful--had to carry a third of our meal home! We had a couple of drinks at the bar and the outstanding service was prevalent there too! A great place to enjoy good food and great service!

Castano's is simply excellent in every way. The food was exceptional, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was wonderful. We had a truly exceptional experience and will be returning soon.
