What User doesn't like about Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe Mccain Mall:
Good food, good service. Gyro was on the small side compared to most Greek restaurants / Coney Islands I am used to. The chips served with the two lamb gyro dishes ordered seemed the underside of the chip bag crumbs. The cucumber and the Greek salads were both very good and fresh. View all feedback.
The food was good, and the service was pleasant. However, I found the gyro to be smaller than what I typically expect from Greek restaurants or Coney Islands. The chips accompanying the two lamb gyros appeared to be crumbs from the bottom of the bag. On a positive note, both the cucumber and Greek salads were fresh and very tasty.
I was initially skeptical about stopping for cooked vegetables at a restaurant in a mall, but wow! The hummus and vegetable plate were fantastic (perfect asparagus? Seriously??). I loved it so much that I returned the next day for the Greek salad, which looked tempting—and it did not disappoint! Fresh, delicious vegetables, friendly staff, lightning-fast service, and reasonable prices are surely why the locals are so fond of this place (and it's clear they are). I even came back for lunch on the third day! Plus, it’s just great overall!
My only issue is that the food doesn't always arrive hot, but other than that, everything I tasted was great! I especially loved the Shasta Scramble, which includes eggs, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and spinach topped with sliced avocado, served with a side of red potatoes and buttery sourdough toast. It was more than enough to save for later! The corned beef hash is fantastic as well! The coffee is good, and there's a nice selection of candy too. We had a wonderful server named Ernest—definitely ask for him!
Great little local jewel. I know it's attached to the mall, but don't let it be quenched. The grilled chickens and potatoes are so delicate and tasteful, I cannot say enough good things about them.
Really enjoyed their food on our To Go order (no errors) but more appreciated their hospitality--super nice folks. Lamb burger was great!! Very tasty stuff
