What Denis G doesn't like about The Red Lion Inn Redbourne:
Very poor chicken supreme was not chicken supreme which to me should be chicken breast and a cream sauce but a quarter of a chicken which was served along with the veg cold. Others had the beef which was also cold. The waitress apologised and replaced the meals but the replacement meals were only marginally better. Roast potatoes were clearly heated in a microwave making them tough. One of the beef was very chewy Cle... View all feedback. What User likes about The Red Lion Inn Redbourne:
We went to the Red Lion for the first time tonight after we had surpassed it on Happy Cow. I had the (vegan) Lasagne and my partner had the (vegan). Curry the food was cooked at home and really delicious. I loved the lasagna. We sat at the open fire, it was nice and the staff was also really friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend. read moreThe Red Lion, a quaint village pub, offers a mixed culinary experience. While the homemade vegan options, like lasagna and rich cheese and onion cake, receive high praise, some traditional dishes fall short, with cold meals and inconsistent quality, particularly noted in the chicken and beef dishes. Service can be warm and attentive, contrasting with the unfriendly bar staff. Despite its charm, limited vegan choices at lunch and a lack of dessert options disappoint. However, creative specials by the new chef hint at potential for growth. Overall, the pub promises both comfort and inconsistency, inviting a spectrum of dining experiences.
