Why would anyone want to give this place less than 5 stars? eating is great and the staff is beautiful. the young girl behind that until she never stops, she always does something. the first time we called was just for a coffee, but we ended up with a sandwich and a piece of cake because it looks so beautiful. my wife and I went to the afternoon to the afternoon. ok, it was quiet but messingham show was up so I expected that. it is a beautiful place with a beautiful gift shop and court shop as they leave. it is a little pricier and what they would pay on the high street in a metzger or gift shop, but if they want quality, then they don't care to pay for it. we will certainly return regularly, but next time we will try a cooked dinner that looked very nice. oh and I almost forgot! it is the only place where I have ever found a parma violet candle.
It had been to this jewel of a place several times, jo and steve make them very welcome and also have very dedicated employees. the ambiente des ortes is quite unique, it has an antique center, where steve reviews, a flower shop sells unusual gifts, and jo sells damenmode now. the coffee shop sells delicious food and is now open for Sunday dinner. worth a visit!
I and my husband came to the English breakfast this morning. I heard beautiful things about this place and was curious and wanted to visit! the employees who welcomed us were very nice and friendly, did not wait long for our breakfast in comparison to some places. I have to say it was the best breakfast I've ever had! also not swimming in fat. the eggs, sausages, speck etc. to die. absolutely beautiful. presentation was also great! we were both full and would definitely recommend to family and friends
The coffee was not up to par compared to previous visits - it was not as strong and had too much milk. The fancy milk design on the flat whites was a disappointment. The lasagna was good, while the fish had a nice batter, tasty tartar sauce, and mushy peas. However, the chips were pretty poor - they were burnt and soggy.
We decided to stop in for some cake and coffee and we were delighted with our experience! Upon entering, we discovered charming little shops selling unique items and clothing. We followed the enticing smells to the restaurant area, where the menu offered a variety of options. Although we only had coffee and cake, they were delicious and served to us with courtesy at our outdoor table. Despite being located near the road, the outside seating area was sufficiently secluded to ensure a peaceful dining experience. The seating was comfortable, with both sunny and shaded options available. Parking was convenient, with ample spaces surrounding the building. Overall, a wonderful spot for a relaxing outing!
