We have visited this restaurant a few times recently and have enjoyed delicious food every time. The atmosphere is friendly and the service is excellent. We will definitely keep coming back here when we are in the area.
This was my first visit today but it certainly won't be the last. A lovely place just the right size some garden centres you walk miles round them.We visited the Cafe it was lovely and warm with a log burner. The food was very nice and reasonable prices. I bought two lovely plants half price for my garden. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. They had some beautiful stuff in their shop.I would definitely recommend to anyone. Until next time.
We found this place simply by chance and it's a little gem in Lincolnshire. We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The tables are nicely spaced out so you're not too close to people around you with various tables to seat smaller or larger groups. We visited with the intention of having breakfast, the food was delicious, the service was great too, attentive but by no means intrusive. A fabulous find and a place we will be visiting again in the near future.
Its been a couple of years since last I visited here. My previous times eating here I was always happy with the quality of food and the menu. Today, however, not only the food but also the experience was very disappointing. From being corralled in a small space between a closed door and plastic tape to wait for a table to be cleared for us and pointedly told to look at the specials board before ordering it was not a good start. I will speak only of my own meal though there were three of us and two meals left much to be desired. My own order of Fish and Beer Battered Grimsby Haddock was one of the poorest of its kind I have had for a long time. The fish itself was dry, rubbery and had little flavour and the batter was a disaster, too thick and badly cooked. A press of the knife or fork left oil or fat oozing from the surface and pooling on the soggy batter. Unfortunately I had decided at that point not to complain but simply to leave as soon as we had all had sufficient as some time had been already taken up in trying to correct another of of meals and I didn 't want us, as a table, to be seen as Complainers . In most places I would have brought it to their attention regardless but the realisation sunk in that they made us pay for the meals before receiving them. I did wonder about that at the time but now I wonder less than I did. One meal arrived on a slab of slate, my meal arrived with a piece of printed paper to mimic newspaper adorning the plate with chips and fish piled on top of it (how do you scrape the paper off what you are about to eat when it sits beneath fish dripping in oil or fat? . I 'm sure its meant to be classy to have such adornments as slate and paper but it really isn 't. The whole experience was a big disappointment. Not good value and not tempted to go back.
My husband and I have visited the café at Deepdale Garden Centre multiple times in the past five years, and each time we go, the food just keeps getting better. Today was a special visit as we brought our 17-year-old dog, Bailey, who is nearly deaf and blind. The staff at the café immediately noticed Bailey and kindly offered him a chopped up sausage, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We both had delicious sausage butties today, but I would also recommend trying the club sandwiches and fish and chips. The staff are all so lovely and friendly, and the café is always impeccably clean with charming decorations.
