I ordered the vegetarian fish and chips (grilled halloumi replacing the fish, sweet potato chips) with a cream and greens dip, while my partner had the veg haggis. Both dishes were excellent, but I especially loved mine. I will definitely try their vegan menu next time, as the prices were around 25 gbp for two mains. The pros of dining at hendersons include creative and delicious food, a wide range of options for all dietary preferences, comfortable seating, and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The decor is neat and inviting, making it a great spot for a family meal on the weekend.

It's really everything I could want in a casual restaurant: it isn't pretentious; it has a great variety of food to choose from; and it's all vegetarian I come to Henderson's whenever I can, and have pushed my family to head there multiple times on trips to Scotland.

We were seated downstairs where live a... read more Located on Hanover Street, this charming little restaurant offers a good selection of vegetarian and gluten-free options. We were seated downstairs where live acoustic music provided a lovely backdrop to our meal. While I felt the decor could use a bit of updating, the atmosphere was pleasant and not too crowded with tourists. I ordered the risotto, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. My friend opted for the haggis money bag, which was a bit unrefined in presentation but tasty nonetheless - she really enjoyed it!
