Lived in the area for a long time and seen many landlords have a go at making this roadside inn profitable. If this guy does not turn it around I will eat my hat... the welcome is sincere and friendly. He brews his own beer cider and lager, the Kim Yung ale we had was on point and flavourful. Good price as well.. very good price... the loaded fries were delicious freshly made and all in all a great couple of hours.

We used the take away delivery service. When the food arrived it was luke warm, the chips were very over cooked to the point that the majority of them were inedible and they were horrible frozen chips rather than homemade. The chicken goujons tasted like cheap frozen ones and the beer battered onion rings were awful, they were also frozen and not homemade. The whole meal was over cooked and not nice. Will not be using the takeaway delivery service again

We called in on the off chance of the pub was serving food! What an amazing meal we had!! The manager was extremely friendly and chatty! We can’t wait to return with the family!

Myself and my husband called into the pub after our car had broken down on our way home to Northamptonshire. Our car was expected to be fixed until that evening so we took the opportunity to have lunch whilst we could and it didn’t disappoint! The staff here were amazing! They made us feel so welcome, allowing us hold up in the pub until we could get back on the road; even checking to make sure we had charges etc for our phones.
