I tried this place instead of our normal place! really friendly and polite. supplied earlier than originally said and nice eating. we have the feeling that the things needed a little more taste, but it has not stopped us to eat and enjoy! service alone would order us from here again! What stwadr2017 doesn't like about Spice Village:
Tried this place last week for 4 of us as a takeaway delivered. It was a shock to be nearly £20 more expensive than we normally pay where we live so was expecting top notch food ... The currys ordered was nothing special usually have a lot better cheaper as stated but the worse thing by far was 3 out of 4 of us were ill during the night and next day. terrible experience would never go back avoid. Lovely food, nice friendly place, prices are more than reasonable. I recommend them. They do get busy, but I’m not surprised.
Thank you for another wonderful dining experience at Spice Village. I have visited this restaurant on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious and full of flavor.
The curry at this restaurant is fantastic and affordable. I'm not sure where the people who gave it 1 star went, but they must have been mistaken. I ordered the Andra with a side of brindal bajhi (I think that's what it was called) and a kheema naan, and it was exceptional. The flavors had a perfect mix of spice and heat. Our server was very informative and gave us some excellent recommendations. I'm looking forward to returning soon.
After being away from this restaurant for some time, I decided to order takeout and was incredibly impressed. I'm not a food connoisseur, but I have high standards when it comes to quality and price. The food was exceptional, and they even prepared a dish for me that wasn't listed on the menu. The staff were very accommodating and eager to help. Definitely worth a visit and I will be returning.
I hadn't been to the restaurant for some time following the multiple re-openings but decided to give it another go with some friends as I had previous good experiences here. The restaurant has a new name and is allegedly under new management but it's the same people and I found the gentleman who works front of house polite and welcoming as always. The food as always was of a high standard and though a little pricey for a village takeaway/restaurant I feel worth the extra money due to the quality. We all had our fill and a really enjoyable meal, another added bonus is that they do not sell alcohol so you can bring your own and pay corkage which saves a small fortune on a normal meal out.
