We stopped off for lunch. Mains looked a bit expensive but from the lite bites menu liver and bacon was good value, and full English breakfast at lunchtime always goes down well and it's always a bonus to get good sausages (I presume they were Lincolnshire). Surrounded by whisky bottles (on shelves round the pub) and with a real fire going, the bar looked a better place to eat at lunchtime than the restaurant area. T... View all feedback.

Very rude landlord and staff, the food was slow arriving and of poor quality. I ordered a blue steak which arrived well done, I then had another long wait for my food. I definitely won’t be using again and I advise others not to if they want a nice warm welcome, as you will not receive it here View all feedback.
Although I work at this restaurant, I typically don't dine out often due to my OCD tendencies. However, I decided to try the Sunday roast here today (I had lamb, while my partner had beef) and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the gravy was exceptional. I highly recommend giving it a try - you won't regret it. Kudos to Rene and thank you. xx
Was passing by the pub decided to pop in also had a meal! The staff where very friendly the food was lush!!! Also a big bonus they are dog friendly ???? so we had a little Bella with us too highly recommend this place. ????
Had the fish n chips fish was like a whale end chips were like as fat a sausages will definitelycome back for the food alone great staff

It's clean, lovely atmosphere, good food, fine drink, and good music and friendly staff and retains it's old charm
