I stopped by for a last-minute meal. The haddock looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, it was tasteless, and even though I ordered a small portion, it was the thinnest fish I've ever had. I also ordered a cheeseburger and I regretted it. It was bland and rubbery. I guess it's a lesson learned.
AWFUL, TEREBLE, NO TASTE.... Fish taste of nothing, chips dry and hard.... On the positive side it reminded me of a wonderful holiday, Swimming in Grease....
We requested a large order yesterday to be deliveried today between 18:00 18:15, the group is starving doing 13 hour shifts for a covid site, its long days and and to say the least its risky. the company could not deliver our food on our lunch break at 18:00 we are all so hungry and very annoyed. We had to cancel our order because of incompetence levels in your work force. I wouldnt order from there. Dont offer delivery if you can not fulfil the order !!!!
As we live at the opposite side of Sleaford to Fillets we have tried all the other chippies to avoid taking the car but always revert to Fillets. Chips are good and the fish is excellent. The batter is thin and crisp, just how it should be. They have even set up a delivery service booked on line so we even have our take away supper during the lockdown.
I've had many issues with staff not fulfilling my order in the past and that has put me off using them which is a shame because the food is generally good. I have never felt the need to put in a negative review partly because the work force are predominantly kids and we were all once kids and had to learn right? This week I placed my order, paid for the food and waited for my change, the young lad totally forgot to give me my change and was very apologetic when I asked for it. when I returned home with my order it was not all there! I called Fillets and the lady on the phone advised me that I hadn't paid for one portion of the chips and that the order must have been taken down incorrectly. I asked that she have a chat with staff to be more careful when taking orders to which she responded, next time I should repeat the order twice to ensure that it was correct......... umm not quite the response I was expecting, for that reason alone I wont be returning to Filets again.
