Contribute FeedbackBow Truss is a recently opened Spanish cuisine in North Hollywood. After the ceiling of the restaurant inside the restaurant, this is the second restaurant of Knitting Factory Entertainment, with the first the Federal Bar. Shall we say more? Earlier a car park of 1930, qualified and talented planners, builders and decorators put their hearts and souls into the transformation of the structure that once sat on the plot in Bow Truss. With Latin-influenced tapas and family-run dishes, this restaurant is sure to improve North Hollywood's desire for more exciting and inventive restaurants. When entering through the main entrance from the sidewalk we were greeted by an unexpected open courtyard. On the left was an area reserved for outdoor dining with red umbrellas shading bistro style tables and chairs. At our right, a cozy lounge area with a modern cocktail bar. Both sections of the 2,000 square meter courtyard are sandy and remind us to be a beach bar with sand under our feet. We need an evening back to experience this part of Bow Truss as we feel it would be nice there on a sofa, the cocktails under Twinkling stars in the night sky overhead. When we made our way to Hostess Station, we were warmly welcomed and were allowed to take care of the facility before sitting. The 3,000 square meter interior was impressive. For larger parties there are large stands, counter seats in front of the stainless kitchen, tandem seats and several stand-alone tables. We sat at one of the more intimate tables for two... right under a huge painting of a cop hanging on a wall. My husband enjoyed his view of the crowd that enters through the front door while I had a fantastic view of the open kitchen. With the majority of our attention between the complicated indoor bar and the bustling bustling in the stunning preview kitchen, we had to admire the reason for the name of the restaurant. The ceiling of the bow and turkeys. Have you ever changed into a place and looked around your surroundings and started thinking about all dedication, hard work and dreams that went into creation? That's what we found ourselves sitting there. It was indeed very inspiring to think about it. The photos above show the arch and truss ceilings and the open view kitchen where all culinary activities take place. Booths are complemented by coloured pillows, while the tables themselves are simply decorated with orange candle holders, brightly colored bread plates and striped white cloth napkins. Before we knew, our waitress Chelsea came to our table side with menus and a large glass vessel of ice water. We were both in the mood for iced tea this evening, so we ordered several Arnold Palmers during our visit above. In addition, we were offered bowls of Marcona Mandeln in salt and olive oil. These Spanish almonds are somewhat sweeter and have a lighter taste with more a round plump shape than the Californian version that most of us know. In addition to almonds, a container of green Spanish olives is provided. Neither my husband nor I are great lovers of olives in general. But after every attempt, and were immediately converted into olive lovers! Indeed, we ended the entire container of olives! Bow Truss sucks these Jade Orbs in a secret house Marinade, then serves them to anxiously expectant moss. We won't eat olives, but Bow Truss now! You're so good! Upstairs we started with the Jamon Oyster Salad $13. Have you ever heard of a Fanny Bay oyster? They are located in the waters of Baynes Sound on the eastern side of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. This depends on this beautiful presentation of greens. And let's say if you like oysters, you'll be the Fanny Bay variety LOVE. After spending most of my life in the south, I enjoyed my share of shells. But I never have such a delectable, creamy, hearty, tasteful creation as one of them. I bet if you don't eat oysters, you'll have them with Bow Truss soon. This striking salad consists of Fanny Bay oysters, hairdress, cumquats and a complicated microintensity, then finished with truffle oil Yuzu foam. Up and down, close-ups of Fanny Bay Oysters on the Jamon Oyster salad. My husband and I literally stared at these for a few minutes before I swore them. Such detail and the intrigues went into the presentation of these oysters. We're sorry to hear that Chef Stefhanie Meyers left her post at the Federal Bar, but we were very excited to find out that she's on the tax at Bow Truss now! Below, Chef Meyer's presentation of the Bow Truss Seafood Pot. My husband and I liked to share this court. We found it a bit sharp for our taste, but if you can treat some warmth in your meal, we highly recommend it. With its charred corn, potatoes, Prince Edward Island shells, Manila shells, Mexican tiger shrimps and lumps of Californian local white sea bass, you will return for another order of this bowl of seafood quality. Below, closer view of the Mexican tiger shrimps, pieces of white sea bass and Prince Edward Island shells. Next we ordered what seemed to be a favorite item from the kitchen... the Bow Truss Tacos. Pulled Pork Belly, Shrimp, Grilled Sea Bass, Chorizo Meatball and Mixed Pepper Tacos specialize in the types of Tacos Bow Truss. We decided to eat shrimp tacos with purple calcareous cabbage $9. Colorful, tasteful and down really fun, this was a certain re-order article... INSIDER’s TIP: If you can not treat too much heat in your food, just ask your server to get the guacamole that comes with the tacos on the side as we did. There is a touch of heat, but it is creamy treat exaggerates every spice involved! ...and we quickly consumed the Grilled Sea Bass Tacos with a pickled carrot Slave and avocado $9... fun times in a festive atmosphere with friendly smile and tasteful Spanish cuisine. You'll get this at Bow Truss. Continue on our agenda... plan our next visit to check the outdoor cocktail lounge!
