Loved the size of the coffee cups, only that bigger than normal. Coffee was great and the food so interesting! Much going on on the plate, but still charged the less. View all feedback.
What Rebeca Crona doesn't like about Berta:
Stodgy food, very heavy on eggs. Went for late lunch (1.20pm) after various delays - the first shock was asking for the wine list (at our last visit there was a list of 6 or so wines chalked up on the board) and was told ONE white wine by the glass (Milton Pinot gris - very mediocre). Too late to go anywhere else - the venison ragu was acceptable, the fishcakes dry and boring and the side dish of "crispy potatoes" wa... View all feedback.
Cafe has good reviews however my family including my extended family went on a holiday to Tasmania & had the worse experience. This was our first stop to begin our holiday. We were kept waiting at the back table outside in the cold with an infant, elderly and a child (who were restless, tired and hungry after a long flight from Melbourne) over 25mins to be told that they were too busy to take our order. We finally walk out and had breakfast at a lovely local bakery called "ZUM". Even if Berta was good, this experience ruined my impression and would NEVER recommend anyone. VERY ANGRY AND DISAPPOINTED
Nice food, nice for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Beautiful coffee and chai, you can say that you really have a passion for food and coffee. Always a delightful experience

This was our local cafe here, while we tried numerous cafes in public holidays, and Berta had better coffee, service and food. Grief The staff was always super friendly, the food was delicious and it's a great when you sit on the window cabins. We wish we would have a cafe like this home!
Based on his reputation we made a special trip to Berta and were not disappointed. Grief Although it was busy, surprisingly we had no effort to get a table on a Saturday morning. Grief There was a lot of variety in the menu - so hard to choose! We opted for the Miso fungi and the porridge. Both were outstanding. The porridge had a beautiful collection of flavors and textures, thanks to the crowping topping and peat fruit. The mushrooms were far away from the standard price, with the miso adding a hit of Umami and another sex layer. The coffee was excellent. Grief Would definitely return.
