Waren House - North Hertfordshire

We stumbled upon this hidden gem of a hotel. The food was amazing and the location is secluded yet conveniently close to Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, and Alnwick, all of which were on our itinerary. The dining experience at the restaurant was exceptional. Our room was spacious and comfortable, although the only issue was the squeaky floorboards that made us feel like we were disturbing the guests below whenever we moved around.

From check in to departure you are just like one of the family. In fact, it is run by a few families who all work together to ensure your stay is informal but of the highest quality. A wide variety of rooms, interesting décor, beautiful gardens, easy parking, locally sourced food , experienced staff, a fabulous area of Northumbria with its own wildlife park on the doorstep .......

My husband and I had a delightful evening dining at this restaurant during our stay in the area. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and appetizers in the drawing room, served by attentive and friendly staff. The service throughout the evening was impressive, and the food was delicious. We were so pleased with our experience that we booked a table for the following week to celebrate my dad's 87th birthday. The exceptional service and attention to detail were once again provided, and the staff went above and beyond to make my dad feel special. This restaurant is truly wonderful, and we are grateful for the unforgettable experience they provided. Thank you for everything!

From the moment you enter this hotel, it exudes warmth and luxury. Our room, the Swans, was absolutely stunning with a four poster bed. Every corner of the hotel is adorned with beautiful objects d'art. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast for two nights and were incredibly impressed with the quality of the food and the extensive wine list. The service was impeccable, and we were blown away by the delicious dishes. We also savored pre-dinner drinks in the elegant drawing room, surrounded by a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. We cannot wait to return to this exceptional establishment.

Stayed for 2 nights for my brother-in-law's 60th, and what a fabulous time we had. The hotel is friendly with excellent standards and the staff are wonderful. The food is amazing at both breakfast and dinner and we can't wait to return.
