My husband and I stayed at Shore Acres for the first time. We were very happy with the accommodations and the spacious grounds. The room was very good size and very comfortable and clean. I had such high expectations since I’ve been driving past the signs for the last two years. The service was slow, the food was bland and our waitress seemed like she was about to faint from heat stroke. It took 45 minutes for our food even though there was a crowd of at least 6 employees loitering by the hostess stand, the fish tacos had NO FLAVOR and the burger was cold. I had the extreme pleasure to spend a couple of hours at the Bravo Zulu Lakeside bar and restaurant and it was a blast! This place is so much fun . The bartenders and drinks were awesome. We did not eat, however I witnessed some pretty yummy looking lobster rolls pass by me. They had plenty of staff and the location just off the lake was perfect. There was a lake breeze and the decor was pure summer vacation ! I cannot wait to get back there very soon! It definitely had a relaxing lakeside party vibe!
The location is excellent; Serene, panoramic views of the lake and mountains welcome you into the dining room. The food was excellent! From the salad and appetizers right to the dessert. The coffee was okay, wish they had espresso after dinner. If the halibut is offered as a special, order it, you will not be disappointed. Ivan, our server was excellent and the entire staff was attentive. Megan was a gracious host and very welcoming. In a post-Covid environment, when most restaurants are limiting their service and menu, Shore Acres was very well staffed and the young staff had the experience of a much more seasoned group. I look forward to our next visit.
A wonderful, slice of Vermont and Lake Champlain. Not for the jet ski crowd but if you want to let go in the wonder of luxury country comfort...this is the place. New owners but same friendly welcome home service and friendliness. The food is working on becoming great. As all new efforts and seasons there is some calibration to perform but this new team will get there by mid-summer. We will be back. Thanks
