Unable to renegotiate the lease, Chantal, the charming proprietor, closed Cafe du Lac in October, 2016. Too bad. It was a wonderful dining option in a picturesque waterside location in North Hatley. Quel dommage. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cafe du Lac:
The coffee was disappointing, as they only offered filter coffee with no espresso machine. There were no freshly squeezed juices available, and the prices were quite high for the quality of the breakfast. I would not recommend this restaurant. View all feedback.

The best restaurant in town, as long as the weather is good enough to sit outside. Overlooking water. Friendly service offering solid homemade-style food. Probably best to go there for lunch.

The food was good enough, not a lot of choices, only one dessert. The service was OK kind of slow at the end to get the bill. The patio is located by the water so the view is great. The menu could use some upgrading.
Great for sitting outside and gazing at the lake and the gazebo. Loved the Greek Chicken Wrap--refreshing and delicious.
