What User doesn't like about John Street Diner:
Went for a late bruch on Saturday. Ordered at the counter and paid for the meal. The food arrived and while we were eating, the television that was on, got turned off. No one came by to see if we needed anything. The waitress cleared the plates and then they turned off the lights in the dining room. No one informed us that they were about to close. We got up and left. Never again to this dump.... View all feedback.
Server got our order wrong, has to pay for 2 portions of poutine and toast even though I only ordered one of each. I didn't finish the poutine as it tasted weird and the cheese was cold. The next day, my partner and I now are both in bed with food poisoning. We know it's this place as we don't eat the same food usually as he is vegetarian and I only eat meat.
This place has good prices and large portions! The big perogi breakfast is excellent. It comes with 2 eggs, spicy sausage, perogies with fried onions and bacon, and toast. The eggs are always cooked nicely and the service is always friendly.
A group of 6 went and the service was quick and friendly. Got the big breakfast and left pretty satisfied. The home fries were the highlight, real crunch and salty and the coffee was smooth. Good value too.
Great food, good prices, nice small restaurant. Breakfast is very good.
Came here for the first time today, after finding John Street Diner on an internet list of great breakfast diners.Have to say, it was a great decision to come here with some friends.The food was amazing. Had the peirogi breakfast what an excellent. My buddies all thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well.Service was top notch with friendly staff, and the prices, well they just can't be beat.We'll definitely be returning here.
