Being under younger management in recent years has drastically improved. When 20 years ago, it came to college, it went pretty fast on the hill. I tried her again when I moved back to the area. A young family is leading it now. Not to blow, but good, insist and reasonable. We order from here about twice a month and have had only one small mistake I had more on a picky 'Karen-esque' guest who had a ton of preparation... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about New Wo Lee Restaurants:
Never again did they get the order wrong and gave me the wrong money back at $20 and when I sorted out everything and came home, the food was very disappointed cold View all feedback.
The restaurant has seen significant improvements under younger management in recent years. When I first visited it 20 years ago during my college days, it wasn't great. However, after moving back to the area, I decided to give it another try. It's now run by a young family, and I'm impressed by their dedication and reasonable prices. We order from here about twice a month, and we've only had one minor mistake—mostly due to a very particular customer with a lot of special requests, rather than any fault of the restaurant.
I will never return to this restaurant. They got my order wrong and also gave me back the wrong change—$20 less than I should have received. After sorting everything out and returning home, I was disappointed to find that the food was cold.
I placed a large catering order of $190 from this restaurant, along with a $460 order from an Italian restaurant. The waiting staff set everything up, but I soon discovered that a tray of dumplings was missing. When I called to address the issue, they outright refused to send a tray of dumplings to me. At that point, none of my guests had arrived, and no food had been eaten. I even suggested that they come and check the food with me, but they declined and started raising their voices. They could have easily resolved the situation by sending a $5 tray of dumplings, especially since I had chosen to work with them again as a loyal customer. If I intended to steal dumplings, I wouldn't have tipped the driver $20 and then used that money to order another tray. This experience has truly left a bad taste; what a disappointing outcome.
