Went here for Madonna night for the first time since the pandemic last night. I love that they host this night! However, it was insanely packed and hot as a sauna on the dance floor. It's bad enough that there's no so AC so I don't understand why they can't but some fans in there at the very least. This is especially important in the post-COVID era to dilute viral aerosols. The Mohawk bartender was rude for no reason lol. I asked for an adios, she gave me a face, and I asked what that’s supposed to mean. She said that’s not ordered here. Then the person next to me asked for help and she told him “sorry I’ll be right with you, these people are ordering complicated drinks.” Despite all this I kept an appreciative demeanor and tipped against my judgement. I visited Akbar for the first time yesterday, and I had a fantastic experience. The bar is really nice! The bartender, Jennifer, was incredible! She was so friendly, attentive, and made my visit even better. I will definitely be coming back more often!
I ordered a drink that cost $8 and gave the bartender a $10 bill, but he never returned. I intended to tip him, but it seemed like he decided to take it for himself. After finishing my drink, I left. The situation felt too shady for me, so I found another bar where I didn't feel like I was getting taken advantage of.
One of my favorite gay bars to visit, always chill and fun here!
Everything was wonderful until we encountered a rude bartender who seemed to expect a tip. We intended to give one in cash, but he made a remark before we could even finish our order.
