We went to have breakfast and Easter egg hunt, great breakfast ! including sarcastic comments for saying you don’t want tomato or someone else said no beans. Children went to children’s park which they have. We had three children one little girl in a pushchair, another little three year old little girl and one four year old little boy that has autism and classed as disabled, they found the polystyrene eggs but we put... Disappointed surprised to read some people’s recent comments since we have always received a warm welcome whether popping in for a quick drink after a walk with the dogs or calling in for a bite to eat. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Food smaller menu due to Covid restrictions at present is plentiful and tasty. Great homemade lasagne! Covid restrictions are in place, lots of signage and hand sanitiser socia... View all feedback.
This is a really lovely pub, found it by chance while staying in the area. We were lucky enough to drop in on a monthly folk music evening, so much musical talent in the local area. There's also regular live music on a Saturday. The pub provides breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which we had twice during our stay. Good quality produce nicely cooked and incredible value. The hosts are lovely people, so friendly and their relaxed way really makes for an enjoyable visit. They also provide a camping area at the back of the pub so we'll return with our tent once the weather dries up.
After speaking to Jean on the phone to check availability for my camper van, I arrived to a very warm welcome. I was instantly aware of what a chilled vibe there is about this place, it's almost bohemian! I should have guessed that the lovely couple who run this great place are former bikers, as it's so friendly, just what I needed after a tough time, losing a family member recently. Tuesday night was homemade pizza night, made fresh to order and baked in their own pizza oven, it was absolutely delicious, I kid you not! The beer here is excellent also, they know how to look after real ales as well as a crisp, cold pint of lager! Dana, behind the bar is really bubbly and is very personable, you feel like you've known her for years, as u do with everyone else here, it is a lovely place! Rock n roll memorabilia from many of the greats as well as old vinyls adorn the walls in the raised pool table area, this pub has such character, it is well worth a visit or three for food and drink and just to relax n feel at home, which I certainly did, many thanks!
Friendly staff , kids loves it , nice pint will be back Tuesday for pizza night Good play area for kids Camping at the rear of the pub
We visited today for a funeral wake. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating and offered a very personalised service, supplying great, home prepared and cooked food of our own choice, at a very reasonable price. Everyone in our party said how lovely the food was, and the function room and food area was nice and private, and facilities all spotless. The owners work very hard and our experience couldn't have been any better.
Really enjoyed our stay here, the hosts were very friendly from start to finish, they supplied us a gazebo so we could sit outside the tent which kept us all dry! There was a live band in the evening which we wasn’t expecting and was just another thing to help in a perfect stay. Very quiet, quaint and clean with all the facilities you require whilst camping. Breakfast was reasonably priced and was nice. Can’t really fault this place. Thank you for a great stay which enabled us to see old friends. 100% will be back next year!
