I went out with friends for a meal and as always, it was absolutely amazing. The service was top-notch and everyone enjoyed their meals. We all made sure to leave room for the delicious desserts! The staff was very attentive and made sure our glasses were never empty. We had a fabulous night and everyone in the group plans to return to enjoy the food, service, and atmosphere again. Huge thanks to the entire team - we... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Angel Inn:
After taking a walk around the area with my toddler, we stopped for lunch at the restaurant. Despite being the only customers there, others were already eating and staring straight ahead. We decided to order the cake with chips, which were generously piled on a plate. The atmosphere in the cafe was not quite what I had expected. View all feedback.
My partner and I went for dinner on Friday at The Angel. As a newly diagnosed coeliac, I was pleased to find this place not far from our home. The experience was flawless from start to finish. The pub is located in a charming building and has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with the warmth of an open fire. The service was top-notch, and it was refreshing to feel like a normal customer as a coeliac, rather than being treated as an inconvenience in restaurants that don't cater to gluten-free options. We had the rump steak and fish and chips, followed by the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate orange brownie, all of which were absolutely delicious and of a higher standard than most non-gluten-free pub restaurants. I will definitely be coming back!
First, everyone, of course, but I cannot understand the negative reviews of the engels, we eat here as our go to pub restaurant and never had a bad experience. we had the pleasure of having a cancellation for Christmas dinner for the first time and...out on Christmas Day. as usual, eating was a traditional lunch, excellent quality and quantity and we have very satisfied, many thanks to all the fish.
Visited this lovely establishment with my family. Such a lovely place excellent service and fantastic food. Shall definitely be paying a visit next time I am up this way.
Daughter who lives in Sheffield had booked for lunch as she knew they did a great GF menu for our granddaughter who is Booked for very efficient service we all had roast beef and a few of us managed puddings. Excellent menu even...if we all had the same. Portions were large and all cooked to perfection. Best roast I have had for long time. Thanks to everyone at the Angel.
We visited for the first time having been recommended by friends that it had a good gluten free menu. Rather surprised by some reviews regarding the welcome as the landlady and girl serving were very friendly. Excellent three course meal with lots of choice. The...only difficulty was in reading the specials board. It was a treat to have draft gluten free beer. Will def return.
