Great for pub food at a reasonable price. Mixed crowd. No need to book. Covid better to book to make sure you get a table. Social distancing in place. Redesigned beer garden. Friendly staff (loathe being called Sir though but guess they think they are being polite) View all feedback.
I had a pleasant dining experience at this restaurant while in Bangor for a few days. The staff was friendly and the food was deliciously prepared and presented. I enjoyed the baked bratwurst followed by the burgers. I would recommend both dishes.
We recently visited a lovely, truly traditional bar where the friendly and attentive staff served us a top-notch Guinness pint. On St. Patrick's Day in 2022, we enjoyed live music by Not Safe with a Razor, featuring a fantastic mix of high-quality folk tunes and adaptations. It was a wonderful experience.
The jazz band at this restaurant is excellent. The ambiance is quiet with subdued applause. The restaurant is dog-friendly, and there was a small, well-behaved Dachshund present. The music was good and the band was impressive. They even took over the background music at one point. The only downside is that they only offer two cider options, Magners and Co Armagh brand.
