Reviews - Cafe Cod
Reviews summary
Cafe Brazilia offers a mix of positive and negative experiences. Some customers rave about the friendly staff, extensive menu, and delicious food, while others complain about poor service, high prices, and subpar dishes. Despite some loyal regulars, issues with order accuracy and atmosphere have left some customers hesitant to return. Overall, the restaurant seems to have its strengths in terms of food quality and variety, but inconsistencies in service and attention to detail have caused mixed reviews. For those willing to give it a chance, Cafe Brazilia may offer a pleasant dining experience with a varied menu and friendly staff.

What Nick P dislikes about Cafe Cod:
We called in for a late lunch, just a pastie supper! This was at two pm on Friday 5th October. We live in Portadown so don't get to Bangor very often, but when we do, we have enjoyed Cafe Cod for years, especially the cod. This time was different. Appalling wouldn't do it! The chips must have been pre fried three times, and the pastie had a slight tang to it, like sourness. So thats our last visit, thank you. View all feedback.

The young blonde girl looks like she’d rather be anywhere but serving customers. Very sour !! It changes the whole experience
Always good coffee every visit. The scones are to die for. Would recommend this cafe to anyone. Will be back
I decided to take my grandchildren out for lunch, one of whom is too grown up for the kids' menu and the other who isn't a fan of the usual options. This restaurant offered a wide selection on the main menu, ranging from full meals to snacks and scones. They even had a separate menu for vegetarians. The portions were generous but not overwhelming, and the scones were served with a variety of spreads and jams. Our food arrived promptly and accurately, even though the restaurant was busy. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our dining experience enjoyable.
I haven't visited this restaurant in a while, but while I was in Bangor, I decided to have a nice lunch sitting in the autumn sunshine. The menu offers a wide selection that will appeal to just about every palate. The service was as friendly and helpful as I remember.

My 5 and 4 year old people knew how fussy they are and they loved eating so much they wanted to eat there every day. I haven't seen her eat so much long. chips. perfect, hot dogs and chicken bites ready. then on the most fluffy American pancakes with syrup cream and ice! all away. not to mention my own chicken and champ with garlic sauce. beautiful, and washed with the most beautiful vanilla milkshake I ever tasted! It was hard to keep the children long away from it: the staff was beautiful, very attentive and nothing was too much for each of them. we come back every time we visit bangor! well done.
Cannot praise this place enough. fantastic vegan and vegetarian options. the personal is so pleasant. a must visit when they are in bangor. they will not be disappointed! great place!
Many thanks for the great Veggie/Vegan menu. my daughter and I had a nice lunch today. can I suggest that their hostesses naturally offer this menu? I knew it was available and was asked. also divided on the local veggie / vegan group. it is so wonderful to have a choice of more than one or two imaginative elements.

Sadly I have to concur with the more recent reviews that this place which is in a great location doesn’t give chip shops a good name. Fish was nicely cooked but chips were lukewarm and I only walked a few metres away to eat them! Plastic forks and thin serviettes. And they didn’t take card but there is a cash point adjacent. Fishy . Pardon the pun.
Avoid at all costs,I wouldn't waste my hard earned money. Went in and ordered a portion of chips to take away, got home and they were stone cold. Took them back, staff rudely refused to give me new ones or refund my money, I left disgusted, a dreadful place, with dreadful food and service, go somewhere else
Don’t make the mistake and venture It’s just horrible if you have the misfortune to eat there and do eat the rock chips yes rock chips you want strong set of teeth because the cold chips The welcome from the waitress. Was as cold the wet day outside Shouting screaming and rude Just don’t make mistake !!!!!!
Awful experience. Not worth the calories or money! £17.40 for a fish, chip and kids meal. Not sure how the fish came so soggy, haven’t had as bad a fish and chip ever I don’t think. Don’t go here! Just hope we don’t get food poisoning. So disappointing for the prime location it has too.
