I was staying in the village and visited the pub a few times for drinks and meals. The staff were really friendly, the beer was good and the pub was nice enough inside and out. Foodwise there's not a lot of choice and what you get isn't going to blow you away but it's plentiful and reasonably priced. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there but it's more than good enough if you are in the village or passing by. View all feedback.
What Holiday Note doesn't like about The Talbot:
I have eaten at this restaurant before, but was surprised to find out that they no longer serve food when I tried to have lunch there. I thought that most pubs nowadays would have food available, especially those located on main roads. View all feedback.
Very nice an coasy place. Atmosphere is great. Staff is friendly. Plenty of parking. Rooms are large I comfortable
Had a lovely stay here. Host and hostess very warm and welcoming. Room was lovely...only minor grumble is mattress was too soft but that's a personal preference thing. Great English breakfast. Otter ale was nice too.
Went for the South African braai (BBQ). Boerewors were great!. Other theme meals to look out for.
Very friendly welcome, well kept ales and a very sunny courtyard. Tablecloths in the restaurant areas are a good touch, though we didn't eat this time. Interesting menu, so will be back
Great place to stay. Really nice room and great food.
