The Smugglers Rest Mortehoe

I had a lovely time at the Pilates weekend retreat in Exmoor. The rooms were beautiful and perfect for my stay. We enjoyed a delicious hearty breakfast, a wonderful evening meal, and even a lunch package for our free day. The staff were all very friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic. I especially loved the scallops.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is extraordinary, and the staff is friendly and courteous. We were welcomed by Will, the owner, who is a pure joy to meet. The menu was excellent, with high-quality food at great value. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The restaurant may be small, but the food is above all good. Guests can also admire the clean, well-designed, and attractively decorated rooms. I will definitely be returning.

We stayed at this restaurant for 3 nights in September 2021. The rooms (Lundy and Hardland) were excellent, tastefully decorated, spacious, and had amazing ensuite bathrooms. Everything was new and clean, perfect. The breakfast offered several options and everything was cooked to perfection. We also had dinner at the restaurant one evening and the food was excellent. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The location in central Mortehoe is great. Highly recommended, and we will definitely visit again.

We were in mortehoe yesterday. simply exceptional eating and beautiful staff who were friendly and attentive. the muddles were so good that I had to have two portions! they are heavily booked, so book in advance and early. can not recommend...enough what is even better is that they accept well behave dogs.
