We went to a jag to get ice cream and unexpectedly came across this brightly decorated café that we just had to enter! My son and I opted for milkshakes while my husband indulged in a massive freakshake. It looked incredible! They also offer paninis, baguettes, and jacket potatoes for those looking for a lunch option. Additionally, they have a wide variety of retro sweets available for purchase and takeaway. Definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in the area!

A quirky addition to Ilfracombe's high street, Candy Café is a fun and potentially indulgent spot with a thoughtful pink carpet, unique spine web effect lights, and cozy sofas. I originally stopped in for coffee but couldn't resist trying one of their fantastic milkshakes. The peanut butter shake I ordered was indulgent and delicious, with the option to customize with a variety of sweets like chocolate bars, donuts, and gobstoppers. The menu also featured a selection of jacket potatoes, paninis, and sandwiches. The owners, Chris and John, were friendly and passionate about their unique offerings, including eco-friendly coffee. The café's charming décor and nostalgic sweet collection made for a pleasant visit. Overall, Candy Café is a beautiful spot run by beautiful people.

This is a fantastic spot to spend a few hours enjoying drinks and food. John and Chris were incredibly friendly and welcoming, unlike many small establishments that try to rush customers out. I can't resist the urge to come back again.

The Candy Cafe’s the name and candy is predominantly the game, but this little cafe in Ilfracome has much more to offer, Panini, Jacket Potatoes, Cake and Ice Cream along with the Freakshake, the what, the Freakshake, a milk shake reimagined (see photo) lesser calorie...options are available. Great service and hospitality from Chris and John who make up your order in front of you. An additional bonus is the jars and jars of retro sweets. This new business is one to watch
