The Local Grocer - North Conway

This is a beautiful and trendy establishment that offers great value and is worth checking out. There's a deli inside that features some vegan options. I didn't try anything during my visit, but it looks promising!

I went to grab some hummus from the cooler but ended up with a turkey wrap instead. It would be one thing if this was just a one-time mistake, but it's happened to me before. It makes me feel like my personal commitment to veganism isn't being taken seriously.

There is a fantastic selection of items at this business, and the cafe options were great. I've discovered some hard-to-find items here. I will definitely return for another visit!

Two days in the double cabin in jackson nh to stay here for some destinations. I was surprised how large this building was and how much it had to offer. on the ground floor is a yoga studio and a café/deli borders the building. the load is very clean and with everything they can think on store. I have found all the vegan cookies/snacks/food that I love and cannot seem to be found anywhere in this shop. it is incredibly well sorted and organized, full of teas/coffee, dry were, detergenzien, last and last of snacks, ice cream, milk and alternative, fresh food, vegan handmade chocolate, a small product section, supplements and beauty / hygiene products. there is a spiritual section in the front corner of the load and it is quite beautiful. there are spiritual books, tarot cards, stones, weihrauch, palo santo, quite everything they need. they also sell local jewellery. most of the staff were friendly. I visited the shop twice, once on Wednesday, when the caffe was closed and then on Thursday when it was opened. I was able to get the tempeh a la harlan salate, a beet salad, a vegan chocolate (pink jelly) and two milk lards. all tasted excellent! next year I will definitely stay back during my pilgrimage to doublehead.

I personally LOVED all the pre-made options that charge by the pound, but my husband ordered off the cafe menu (meat-based) and he loved it as well. We then went back for baked goods and it’s just so nice to have multiple vegan options for once. Also the staff was so friendly and it really felt like personal service, which you obviously don’t get at big grocers. This little place is awesome. I just wish they would stay open later in the evenings for dinner time.
