What User doesn't like about Shalimar Of India:
Yummy food for sure, but it took forever for the food to come out. Like, an hour. We'd like to go back, especially as my kids were fighting over the one bowl of lentil soup, but we were afraid to order another in case we were there for another hour. View all feedback.
The food here is fantastic, with a great ambiance that sets the mood just right. While the service could use a slight improvement, the overall experience is wonderful. The Paneer Tikka Masala is an absolute standout dish that you must try if you're in the valley.
Unbelievable quality and savory food...gracious service...what a gem to find high quality Indian in this fun area.
We had the aloo mother aloo gobi. both were very tasteful and well seasoned.
Quite impressive veg selection for a non-vegan restaurant. I ordered the aloo paratha, which was huge and tasty, the lens soup, which was very neutral in taste, although good, and the chana saag with medium seasoning and that was ultra delicious. my friend had naan and masala and liked them. the person who took my order over the phone was super helpful when it came to the vegan side of the dinge: I asked which brote vegan were and whether my dish was vegan, and when I was for my friend (a dish with milk in it) she reminded me that it had milk and remembered me again when I followed the order that the respective dish and the naan both worries for it. I would like to dinate in the next time - could not be due to the pandemic.
We never had a bad meal in shalimar and we eat there 4-5 times a year. Do not miss the aloo gobi and dal makhanwali — wonderfully tasteful with great texture.
