The online ticket website is horrible, but the summer adventure activities were otherwise really fun! It appears they limit capacity, which is great because we barely stood in line, even on a holiday weekend! View all feedback.
What nic oshukany doesn't like about Cranmore Mountain Resort:
This place is a Marriott disaster....does not live up to Bonvoy standards....just all the little things....no lids for morning coffee, NO gluten free options in restaurant, no lettuce for the one salad available, were given a different room upon check in than promised and paid for, mattress was way to hard and linens were almost corrosive on the skin...will bypass a return here....the scenery was dynamic, that is a g... No maps, poor signage on beginner trails that go to more advanced trails, rental gear was bad, and the base was under construction. My wife and I rented skis and boots for our anniversary trip. We did one run and it was awful on the easy double C-more lift. The lift drop was huge, a steep 20 feet and onto ice and my wife fell. There was no map of the trails at the base or after the lift and the online map wouldn't load or is an interactive mess (Have paper copies or put a downloadable PDF, so if there is no cell reception it is not a problem. I should have done a screenshot in retrospect). So we went down the route that looked easiest. Little did we know that the green route ended in a busy blue intermediate... The rental gear was not very good. We had to stop halfway down to readjust the boots. We have rented before at other places and this was much more loose on full tightness and banged up. After the trauma of the blue intermediate section, my wife and I decided to call it a day. With the construction going on and the large amount of people, it was very overwhelming as there wasn't much space anywhere. We tried to see if we could get a refund as we did just one short run or even transfer our 300 passes to the tube park to salvage the day. Unfortunately that wasn't an option when I asked the ticket office. Staff was very friendly in the ticket office and rental center but I got to give the owners/management one star. This was not a good experience for beginners for the price tag.
Pros: easy to access, great facilities. The novice double chair lift has access to 3 different green trails. There's also a pretty big section for under 3 year olds to learn. Two magic carpets.Cons: Some disinformation on cost of novice child passes from one employee to the next. No half day options. Attitash has a better system on this is only a few minutes from North Conway.
Decently priced. Kids loved the mountain coaster, summer tube slide, bungee trampoline and other stuff. Restaurant was a bit pricey.
The online ticketing website was quite frustrating to use, but the summer adventure activities were a blast! It seems they limit the number of guests, which was wonderful since we hardly had to wait in line, even during the holiday weekend!
The mountain bike park is an absolute blast! The staff, especially a guy named Ufuk, are incredibly helpful when it comes to getting your bikes on and off the lifts. It's important to have some confidence in your riding skills before you go, and I highly recommend renting a full-face helmet if you don’t have one. Make sure to use the pass to access the other lift that takes you to the top, which is included in the day pass, and take in the stunning views!
