Contribute Feedback What Iam M likes about Barts Deli -general Store:
I had a delicious hot tomato mozzarella sandwich that I shared with my husband along with a bag of chips. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they offered homemade chips, which I'll try next time. It's great to have a few vegetarian options to choose from, and the general store has a charming atmosphere that makes it a must-visit for our future trips to Bartlett/Conway in New Hampshire. What Kasandra Rath doesn't like about Barts Deli -general Store:
The woman who works the counter is not sure whether she is the owner is one of the most rude people I have ever seen. Consistently rude. It's like she's upset about having customers. View all feedback.
This restaurant feels like a tourist trap, especially if you're coming from Crawford Notch or earlier. The staff, particularly a woman on the opposite side, was quite rude and unwelcoming, making it clear that we couldn’t place our items on her counters. Based on how my family was treated, we have no intention of returning. You would think they would appreciate the business from locals while we were purchasing food and beer, but the overall attitude we experienced suggests that isn’t the case. I've spoken to others who share similar experiences and are also hesitant to return.
This restaurant feels like a tourist trap, located right by Crawford Notch. When I approached the counter, the lady at the register was very rude, even telling me not to place my items on the counter. Based on the way my family was treated, we have no intention of returning. You would expect some appreciation while spending money on food and beer, but it felt quite the opposite. I spoke to a local about my experience, and they confirmed that this is typical behavior there, which is why they choose not to visit.
The woman at the counter, who I'm not sure is the owner, is one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. She's consistently unfriendly, almost as if she's irritated by the presence of customers.
