I love Marie's Diner! The staff is incredibly friendly, and after 10 years, it still has the same welcoming atmosphere that I remember. It's nice to have that consistency, especially since Charleston has changed quite a bit lately. The food is delicious, and while the portions have gotten a bit smaller over time, I think it’s for the best—I often leave feeling stuffed! Don't miss out on trying the rice with tomatoes;... What User doesn't like about Marie's Diner:
I visited this little diner at Gerald’s Tires, which came highly recommended on Google. Overall, it was a decent experience. We ordered fried chicken with sides of green beans and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the mac and cheese; the cheese had separated and the pasta was a bit watery. The green beans were okay; they had been nicely seasoned with enough salt and pepper. However, the fried chi... View all feedback.
They were very warm and beautiful and the dame, which the cooktop was very generous and friendly. If I and my man are again in charleston, we will definitely stop there to give them a try again. just love the warmth and feel welcome. thank you. are real. do you have to come back and look at the pork chops?
The location may scare most people away but the food and service is great. I would recommend if in the area.
Like stepping back into the 50s you have a diner last shop end of a strip mall. Its old and very dated. You have found a blue collar working persons diner. But you found a real meat and 3 that send you back to grandma. The staff is friendly, but its get in and get out people are waiting. Couldnt decide the fried chicken or roasted pork with brown gravy over rice. I was offered to try their sampler a little of everything on the spe ial, loved it. Good value, good portions, good lord Im coming back. Update came in for breakfast, still home cooking, staff sweet as ever, had my favorite fried bologna ,egg and cheese san side of corned beef hash
Food was good enough, just disappointed. I've never been there before and they don't give a menu or explain anything to you. You see some stuff written on a board so I just ordered a few things not understanding they had a lunch special. I was charged a full lunch special $10.25, but if I rang up my individual items it would have been less. If I had known with a lunch special you could ask for and get more to eat, I would of done so. As you can see with the picture the serving is small. Again, they explain nothing so you end up, how you end up. Just disappointed.
Absolutely enjoy every visit. Home cooking workman's cafe style at its best. I have been a customer for years so remember don't leave without trying the homemade cobbler!
