Bamboo Snack Shack

By Far the best cafe I've ever eaten in, I've eaten in restaurants that don't serve your basic fish and chips as good as Jack's bamboo snack shack, that's because the food isn't basic here it's cooked with love/passion and skill, next time your in Holloway's beach do yourself a favour and have a feed there......

Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Staff was very nice.

The shack has changed a lot. In the past, we could find alternative entertainment information posted on the windows, and the atmosphere was more relaxed, with magazines available to read inside. Now, the interior is constantly air-conditioned, even though it's not that hot outside. It feels very sterile inside, and the food isn't as good as it used to be.

The burgers at Yumo are incredible! The new management and owner are doing a fantastic job.

CLOSED. The new owner shut down the restaurant on the night of December 8, 2019, leaving behind unpaid debts to staff, the landlord, and suppliers. This followed 13 years of successful operation under the previous owners. It's not a significant loss, as the food quality had declined considerably compared to the previous standards, and the new owner's attitude towards customers was far from friendly.
