Contribute FeedbackStella Barra offers a vibrant atmosphere and generally positive dining experiences, though the quality of food and service can be hit or miss. Guests appreciate the thin-crust pizzas and unique toppings, especially the gluten-free options, with standout dishes like the egg and prosciutto pizza and butternut squash bacon pizza receiving high praise. However, some patrons express discomfort regarding health safety measures and have noted inefficiencies in service, particularly during busy hours. While the ambiance is enjoyable and suitable for families, reservations for larger groups may require careful planning. Overall, it's a popular spot, especially for casual dining with friends and family.
While the service was good today, I would not recommend this place for brunch. lunch and dinner is a yes.
The breakfast is a beautiful buffet with good variety. the cinnamon roll pudding is not to be missed. However, we added two to our party, about three days before we left and changed our reservation. there is only one decent stand in the restaurant and they sat there and it didn't fit six adults. my man went to end and even then we were pretty fucking with five grown-ups. the rest of the seat is for four tops and two tops (minus an extra big table that had a party of 12). do not book for more than four people unless they can sneak the extra large table.
Hard to eat pizza and then realize the glasses of wine were $22 a glass!! I mean come on..... we spent more on wine than food. Simple Pinot noir.... and pizza should not be same as eating at a really nice restaurant. We looked up the wine and it was a fifteen dollar bottle that cost us over $100! The bar is very loud and it was hard to have a decent conversation during dinner. Not worth going back.
I have wanted to try Stella Barra for a long time and finally did it. I love the vibe of the place and the staff is wonderful! We tried the focaccia pesto bread as an appetizer. We were starving and it gave us a few bites to take the edge off but not too much that it was too filling. I tried the margherita pizza and my friend had the chopped salad. She liked her salad and would order it again. My pizza was very good. Flavorful crust and sauce. I ordered some extra side sauce for crust dipping and for some reason, it was spicier than what was on my pizza. Still good though! I am looking forward to my next visit!
The restaurant didn’t mention that the bulk of their seating was closed for a private event. They sat us in a bit of a no mans land between their two restaurants (Stella Barra and Summer House) and then essentially proceeded to forget that we were there. This was the slowest service I have seen in years.
