What Susy P doesn't like about Oakville Grille And Wine:
We went there for lunch and the atmosphere was nice. the waiter was very nice and courteous. the minestrone soup had minimal amounts of vegetables and under seasoned. the hamburger was great .I highly recommend that for lunch I ordered the lemongrass shrimp and rice. it was poorly seasoned and sent it back as butter not even salt could fix it. I ended up getting the avocado crab tower. While nice tasting there was a... View all feedback.
I came here for a work meeting around lunch time. The parking lot is always crazy and you'll see people park in unmarked spots along the curb. Be prepared to wait 5 minutes as you look for a parking spot if you go during peak hours. The inside of the restaurant isn't big but it has a really nice atmosphere. It was busy during lunch rush hour but our group of 4 didn't need to wait to be seated. The service is fantastic and very friendly. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and it really was delicious but I didn't think it was amazing or spectacular. I wouldn't say it's overpriced because you are paying for the entire dine-in experience. Overall it's a good restaurant and I would recommend.
I probably would never have gone to this restaurant if it hadn't been for my friend's insistence. The name of the restaurant initially put me off, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. When we first arrived, the place was nearly empty, but it quickly filled up with an older crowd. We started with calamari as our appetizer. I had a couple of margaritas while my friends enjoyed the Oakville tropical drink. For dinner, I ordered the lemongrass shrimp and my friend had the scallops; both were exquisite, and the service was equally impressive. For dessert, we shared a moist and delicious carrot cake.
We dined there for lunch and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere. The waiter was friendly and attentive. However, the minestrone soup had a sparse amount of vegetables and was lacking in flavor. The hamburger, on the other hand, was excellent, and I highly recommend it. I ordered the lemongrass shrimp with rice, but it was poorly seasoned, and even butter couldn’t improve it, so I sent it back. I then tried the avocado crab tower, which tasted good but only had a small amount of crabmeat for $22. I was quite disappointed, especially since the Matchbox crab tower has a third more crabmeat and is far better. I would suggest trying their sister restaurant next door instead.
Located in North Bethesda in a nice strip mall. I found this place by complete accident. My wife and I were looking to try someplace new and they had a Groupon+ offer so we decided to give this place a chance. This place is very cozy. Not too big and not too small. As you walk in you see all these pictures of famous people and politicians who have eat her. This was my first clue that this place must be good. Since we came for a late lunch and had not eaten yet that morning we were extremely hungry, so we did a quick look at the menu and ordered away. In the mean time they served warm complimentary raisin cinnamon bread. It was extremely good. I could of just ate that the whole time. We ordered the eggplant dip, wild mushroom pizza, ahi tartar, crab tower, tenderloin and salmon. About half way through we realized our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and there was no way we were going finish all this food in one sitting. The portion sizes are huge!! Anyway, everything was extremely good! The tenderloin was one of the best we've ever had. The restaurant itself is very clean and well maintained. As for our waiter Elias he did an amazing job. He was personable, friendly and got all our orders correct without having to write anything down which I thought was impressive. Can't say enough good things about this place. We hope to get back here soon. Keep up the amazing job Oakville!!
We ordered the rockfish and the ahi tuna salad. The portion of the rockfish was larger than what I've seen at other restaurants, and it tasted much better too. It was perfectly paired with orzo noodles and a delicious buttery sauce. The ahi tuna was well-seasoned with a crispy coating, and the dressing was light and refreshing. While most entrees are priced in the upper $20 range, I find that reasonable compared to nearby competitors. The crème brûlée dessert wasn't my favorite, but the excellent service and the quality of the main dishes more than made up for it. I definitely plan to return!
