We had a fantastic dining experience! The restaurant was quite busy, which added to the lively atmosphere, and we really enjoyed watching the kitchen bustle from our table. The tiramisu was a delightful treat, and all the pasta dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious. View all feedback.
What Citlalli Kihn doesn't like about Caruso's Grocery Pike Rose:
We celebrated a birthday and let the waiter know, but unfortunately, they didn't do anything special for the occasion. I ordered an espresso martini, but it tasted pre-made and lacked the expected foam. The old fashioned drink was made with scotch instead of whiskey, and it was served without a cherry, making it overly bitter. Our server didn't even check in on how we liked our drinks. We ordered calamari, which was... View all feedback.
Went back for the chicken parmigiana but it wasn’t very good this time. The restaurant is LOUD!!
Great experience! Speaking rose was a great accompaniment to our meal. Started with the Caesar salad, shared two pastas and then the chicken parm. We didn’t save room for dessert, but it sounded great!
The food is very average if that good. The table bread was hard and stale. The pastas were average but way too saucy. The portions are small. And my kids’ meals were not very good. So many other way more delicious places to go to. This is definitely not worth it.
The salad and garlic bread were tasty but the main dish (spicy Neopolitan ragu) was a tad too salty. There was a table nearby with unruly children that ran amok and shouted which ruined my dining experience. In contrast there was another table with a young family with well behaved children. There seemed to be one server for the four tables she worked pretty efficiently and only needed nudges for to go boxes and the check once she delivered the boxes.
The food was great, but the service was mediocre (e.g., inconsistent and very slow) and parking was surprisingly challenging. We would not return to this location. The DC location is much better across the board.
