What Thomas Lebrun doesn't like about McDonald's:
Fast drive through, no errors! The Mcdonald's is close enough to get a view of down town (driving distance). from the hotel, but hungover Mcdonalds is always good. lol View all feedback.
It's McDonald's - was clean, hot food, good service and free newspapers so not bad at all. lots of locals and close to the beach.

We go out of our way to hit up this MacDonald's because of the children's play area. My boys love playing in there. The food is typical MacDonald's, but I do recommend the build your own burger experience. It's a bit pricey but soo yummy. It's a bit weird having the staff to bring out your food and ask you if they can get you anything else when you can easily get it yourself.
There is a standard for the McDonald's franchises, and it is met pretty uniformly. So why a review of this specific one? Location. Lakeshore isn't a destination so much as a route to somewhere else. If you find yourself in this area, there are good restaurants and standard franchises, such as this. The food is standard McDonald's fare and tastes the same as anywhere else in Ontario. The draw is the more than ample parking, the drive through, the building (new and large). Drawback, traffic on Lakeshore. Getting into McDonald's is easy, but if you want to turn left out of the parking lot, you will likely become frustrated as the traffic will have you waiting. That one lone guy who doesn't want to drive in the right lane because the inside lane is "smoother". The nearby traffic lights, one to the right, one to the left, appear to release traffic at the precise moment the other light stops traffic. If you find yourself in this Mobious Loop of delay, take heart! There is a back exit to the lot which feeds to the back streets. You can go that way and return to Lakeshore Drive at one of those missynchronized lights! If you like McDonald's (or more likely, your kids do), go there IF you are in the area, but don't make a special effort.
So the fries are bitter, the big mac is always missing ingredients that you don't find out about until you get home. What is the point of having a big mac if the cheese and sauce and lettuce is missing. Every time something is missing. The staff cook and prepare the food poorly as if they don't care how it turns out. They're not friendly at the window either. The oil tasts dirty too, Bitter. I'm fed up. Not going there ever again. The one on McKeon or Algonquin is better. Lakeshore doesn't care about the poor quality of their food.
