THE.BEST. butter chicken! Shared a late Saturday night dinner (just before the kitchen closed at 9pm) with my husband and we both ordered the butter chicken. It was so so delicious. The roti is divine and the sauce is packed full of flavour. It was such a nice ambience out the front on a warm spring evening. Thank you we will be back! View all feedback.
What Beryl Koelpin doesn't like about The Kentish:
Often go here for a classic pub meal which is often hit and miss ... Portions sizes vary along with inconsistent service It's in a good location with easy parking for after work drinks. But nothing special that's for sure View all feedback.

Poor service. If you go here remembering a good pub you will be disappointed. Rude manager who took complaints from us as aggression and whose answer to the complaints was 'this is the first I know about it so what could I do.' We waited an hour and a half for food. One person ordered an entree size meal that came out well before the other meals even though we requested our meals come at the same time. Then there was schnitzel. The big wait was for tacos - three corn tortillas topped with a bit of beef and salad. 1 1/2 hours??? The pub was not near full (less than 20% of tables being used) although the manager claimed they were very busy. We were not told there would be a long wait when we ordered. The coke mix was mostly water so the person having a mixed drink needed to buy bottled coke. We asked after our food three times. The manager was not at all apologetic for a 1 1/2 hour wait, but rather just seemed annoyed at us for complaining about it.
Really nice welcoming friendly place Have had bar food a few times and always consistent The shared platters are amazing and look forward to going for dinner
I had the fish and chip. All I can say is seriously oily food. The drinks were nice. It has nice decor. Service was average. It a decent local pub. But there are amazing places in Adelaide now for some good fish and chips.
This pub is just off Melbourne St if u didn't know it was there you'd miss it! It's an old place, but elegant. The dining room is a quaint and cosy area, though there is a spacious outside dining area too. The service was fantastic and food the same- I don't do lamb shanks, but these were recommended and rightly so! Creme Brulee was also a knockout dessert. Very enjoyable evening indeed. ????
