This is one of the best hotel restaurants we have ever been to. The Wild BC Chinook salmon on the menu was amazing!
Missed brunch- totally our fault. Service was a tad slow, but we understood that they had had a busy morning. The space is run down. Waitstaff was friendly and polite. Omelette was very good as was the chocolate brownie dessert . Dim sum appetizer was over steamed. Coffee was surprisingly delicious. Would I return-perhaps for breakfast Buffett which, from the menu, looks awesome.
The spread was great. Meat left lots to be desired. Everything was in gravy and over cooked accept for the carved meats. Turkey and lamb were not worth eating. Vegetables were great and the seafood was excellent.Deserts were abundant and good. Service charge was illegally added without prior knowledge or consent, This was their loss because I would have tipped more because it was Christmas. It annoyed me that they charged service without ever mentioning it before we ate.I get there are a lot off cheap people who do not tip but mention that there will be an automatic service charge and then I. Ishtar have tipped them more for Christmas. When I pointed out I did not have too pay the service. Barge because it was not agreed before we ate they offered to remove it. I left it because if it wS left to me I would have tipped more. Note the service charge was only on the food and not the tax which impressed me. We did enjoy everything except the over cooked meat. Chef needs a course in cooking lamb for sure. We go every Christmas and the overall buffet was the best I have seen. Just a pity I like turkey and could not eat it because of the gravey and the lamb was over cooked. Well worth the money charged over all.
I have been to Westin Prince Hotel for Christmas Brunch for a few years. The food this year is better than previous with more varieties. I am glad to see more varieties of seafood like oysters, clams and lobster legs. Although the oysters are not the best, but still acceptable. The roast beef is exceptional. Overall, our family had a good time.
It's a great decor and ambience, but the food was okay. You can say it was there for a while.
