One of the best of modern Italian around town. Doesn't matter how much you get paid, the place is pricey. Good place for your date especially in the evening. 140.00 got us an appetizer, 2 cocktails, 2 entrees and 1 dessert. I visited Benvenuti's on a Sunday evening for my girlfriend's birthday. I reserved a table online, and added that the special occasion was a birthday. Once we arrived, we were greeted quickly, and brought to a table right next to the fireplace. I'munsure if we were sat there for the occasion, but either way, we both loved it. Our service was excellent, and our waitress wasable to provide great descriptions of the meals we asked about. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We had the bruscetta as ourappetizer, and I had the mojito for my drink. My girlfriend had the lasagna, which she said was a bit salty, but I think it wasthe red sauce because we also had a pizza, and that was salty as well. The lasagna was still the best we've both ever had. I hadthe Campanelle, and it was so AMAZING, that I couldn't stop eating. We finished our night off with the tiramisu, creme brule, and a cappuccino. Best dessert and coffee I've ever had. I will 100% be going back, and I've already requested to be takenthere for my birthday.
Food was big on taste, less on presentation. Service was the low point. Easy 5 stars if we didn't need to ask for literally everything. We couldn't figure out if they were simply short on staff or if we just drew the short stick. Bread came after weasked and then it was 1 whole piece served alone that we tore apart. We may just be spoiled with all the pesto and balsamicdips that frequent italian restaurants these days. After the food was delivered no one returned to offer parm or ask if weneeded anything... until we asked. This continued right until we asked for the check. On a much higher note The Pasta fromHell was the standout followed by the Goat cheese ravioli that tasted much better than it looked. Both of these dishes offeredsome unique flair and rich flavor to otherwise standard fare. And I love that they serve old fashioned Spaghetti and Meatballswhich was at least a solid 4 out of 5. Based on a lack of engagement we skipped dessert. Our server was friendly just a bitabsent. On another note, prices were more than reasonable especially with staple items.
